Nudge don't Judge

At YesAssess we believe that students should be, as far as possible, authors of their own ambitions. Here, Alain de Botton talks about how we can't all be successful at everything but that we need as much control over what we want and how we view ourselves as we can.
Our assessments try to factor this in, we attempt to nudge and not judge students, enabling them to take a full part in assessing themselves and deciding when and where to improve. Soft skills assessments should not become something by which to bludgeon students over their heads with, rather the assessments should be contemplative, reflective and a way for students to grow towards mastery when and where they wish.
